Akpe Villa Farm is known for producing top-quality salads and vegetables that are supplied to retailers. Our Adawso Farms operation is responsible for growing both conventional and organic salads, vegetables and arable crops. We are currently looking for a Farm Manager to join our team in Adawso. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about farming and has experience in farm management. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this role requires the ability to lead and develop while working with cutting-edge agronomy and machinery advances.

Responsibilities
- Managing day-to-day operations of organic salads and vegetable crops, as well as rotational break crops
- Overseeing field teams responsible for land preparation, planting, irrigation, and other general farm duties
- Managing crop husbandry, liaising closely with farm agronomists
- Developing the farm for new organic crop types, as well as implementing our future farming plan around organic regen and digital farming plan, and introducing livestock
- Communicating with harvest teams regularly to update on quality, availability, and crop utilization
- Assisting management in countryside stewardship and farm estate duties
- Handling all relevant administrative duties related to the farm, including programming health and safety, finance, technical, and digital AG development.
Must Have
- Experience in farm, crop, and operational management
- Ability to demonstrate good farming practices in a farming operation
- Experience in managing and developing teams
- Some livestock experience is preferable
- Familiarity with John Deere equipment and Connect Farm is an advantage
- Well-organized, proactive, and reliable, with excellent communication skills
- Degree Qualification (advantageous)
